Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Flint is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Flint follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Beef Pastie had three tiny morsels of rhutabegga, more beef and more potatoes. Apparently the new generations have warped taste buds. It's a SHAME. The Beef Pasties are no longer my comfort or go to meal. I miss the little shop on Third near Atwood Stadium. Woe is me.

Bakery with very small dine-in area and mainly takeout driven business. Wide selection of items - plenty of sweet options as well as quiches and pasties. Beef pasty was flavorful but seemed a bit undercooked and needed to be browned a bit more. Spinach quiche was good but had more cheese than a pizza and that drowned out the egg and greens. I liked it but others may not. Service was very friendly and helpful. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
